have been remiss on posting
summertime has me still knitting on previous posts sweater
but completed a BBD inspired design
got the idea from the joyuex noel pattern book
just a mix of ideas to come up with a birth sampler
also took some patterns i.e. the bunnies from a prairie schooler pattern
it was accurately and beautifully fabric framed by my friend Sandie alias quilter extraordinaire
my sewing skills are not exact----Sandie makes things perfect and even!
Hubby has knitted his first hat all i can say is "wow when are you making me one? :-)
he is already working on hat #2
til next time happy stitches and brilliant creations

Hi Corinna,
ReplyDeleteI really like the new look on your blog. I love that BBD stitch sewn into a quilted piece. A little jealous of your husband's knitting. I wish I could knit. Take care.
You are such a creative family :) I like both your creations (stitched and knitted)!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Tatyana
Wow, you two are so talented! You designing your own birth sampler from other design elements -- gorgeous! And your husband! Um, how long has he been knitting? When did he learning multicolored knitting?! Those hats are gorgeous!! Amazing! Can he teach me to do stranded knitting? lol!
ReplyDeleteyou crazy kids! i can see a new family pic with everyone wearing at least one knitted item by one of you.
ReplyDeleteWonderful BBD-inspired finish! And I love the hat by your husband, great knitting!
ReplyDeleteAww how sweet is that sampler, I love the quilting idea to finish it off and those hats are just fab. Look forward to seeing an up-date on your jumper Corinna. Happy stitching & knitting!
ReplyDeleteHope you and the family have a lovely week-end.
Well done!!!
ReplyDeleteI love both your creations, congrats!
Have a nice w-e,
Elena
Wow, you're a crafty pair! Love your sampler and the way it's finished off, and love the hat your husband made and is working on. I''d be afraid to knit something like that!
ReplyDeleteWhat? Your hubby knitted those hats? OMG AWESOME. I've been trying to get my husband to knit for years but no luck. (It may have something to do with the fact that I want him to knit for me, like a work mule or something. Just think about it - I could get TWICE AS MUCH done if I had an extra pair of hands. lolol)
ReplyDeleteI agree- you both are so talented! Great items
ReplyDeleteYou are a talented pair! Love the birth sampler...it's so lovely and sweet without being too baby-ish.
ReplyDeleteAnd your husband's hats are awesome!
Fantastic finishes Corinna & DH! :) You make a wonderful pair. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great little announcement you put together and your friend did a fantastic job with the finishing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great hat by your hubby!
What a lovely birth sampler. Such a sweet way to finish it. Wow is all I can say on your DH's hat!!! It's great!
ReplyDeleteWow I love it all! :D
ReplyDeleteYour finish is perfect, congratulations. I like it so much! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's your hubby's first hat??? Not some garter stitch item with a seam down the back, ha, ha. You are one talented couple! Your cross stitch is always pretty, but the fabric "frame" makes it even prettier. I need a friend like yours!
ReplyDeleteGreat! Both finishes are absolutely great. This little birth sampler is so creatively stitched and finished. And I love your husband's creations. Congratulations to both of your.
