I finished my first sock.......I know it needs a partner but I had fun wearing it .....
good thing they sell socks in stores or i would wrap bags around my feet as slowly as I knit...
also the first rose in the garden, with the first sock of the season ;-)
and my next BBD SAL choice.......
but planning to stitch it in pink
on beige or brown linen
i also am liking this simple sampler idea from a BBD quilt book
in the meantime check out the fantastic finishes and progress of the other ladies in the BBD SAL group on the side bar.....
asundries this past week:
made tab top valances for kitchen windows
and put a few stitches into feather your nest
poor photo
but maybe it will spur
me on to get this
completed
have a warmer week......smiles, corinna

oh brother!!!
hello stitching friends
not much progress here
but BBD SAL is slightly further along -click on the names
in the BBD SAL group in the side bar to see their progress this week:
As usual, I have already noted non frogged errors,
which will remain without fuss.
Note the new stash in the photo below
I could not resist:

even if they never get stitched.....what fun to dream about over a cup of tea!
But the big photos to share were just emailed to me by my "knitting since new year" brother....
another prayer shawl....and he has started a prayer shawl ministry at his church:
Hope your weeks end is pleasing and warm.....smiles---corinna
fyi from my brother: Oh, I forgot. On the shawl I used Lions Brand Homespun - Golden, CO57, K3P3 throughout.

BBD...stitch along
thank you always for all your kind and encouraging comments
I was invited to join Nadia and her fellow stitchers
for a BBD SAL (blackbird designs stitch along)
So that is a fun weekly motivator:
I have chosen a small sampler as my first project:
not much
progress yet...
...but it is
an enjoyable
stitch.
choosing from
colors that I have
here at home.
also attempting to knit my first pair of socks-
and made a small token of thanks for Paula for the gift of her sweet prize:

Okay I received a DNF (did not finish), on my attempt to finish this sampler by the end of the Olympics.
I am still needing roof of house and tree to right of house....but before that
i decided the turquoise base to the basket of flowers required a color change
and have to repeat that first....so my next post should have this complete...sure-sure.
but I did make a dishcloth: (this pattern is from a blog titled kayla k's thrifty ways)
finished knitting another scarf ....picture later, it is being blocked
and a little freebie finish from The Sampler Girl blog site http://atthehoneysuckletree.blogspot.com/
I used this as a gift tag......cute and simple....fun stitch.
Now off to finish the sampler......ahem.......or maybe just a cup of tea and some more
stitchy blog googling......yeah
smiles :0) :0) :0) :0)

Thank you so very much Paula.
I already have ideas churning in my mind.
here is a quick peek at whats being created this week, mostly while watching olympics:
I might actually get this BBD sampler finished before closing ceremonies
don't look too close....I am not known for frogging...just forging on....
next time I will have it ironed and take pic in daylight.
fingerless mittens for DS#3....he will be 18 on Sunday
mittens are probably not on his wishlist ....but..... ;0)
DH is on to new project fancy rib knit scarf....more pics later
oh Paula, DH says "Hey, those little scissors might be handy!"
I told him to watch your blog for future sign ups, if you don't play you can't win.
thanks again
have a good weekend.....find joy in your pursuits...

have a sweet day
sweet...also the lemon tree is blooming next to stitching chair.....smells wonderful
and although there are plenty of projects unfinished, I could not help myself and had to start a
sampler that I ordered though ABC stitch therapy ....on sale!
of course i checked out 2 easy reads at the library
(m.c. beaton mysteries make me chuckle, agatha raisin is like watching ' i love lucy')
(and the white horse is a juvenile book, but sometimes those are the best told tales)
that will cut into stitching time
but the sun is finally shining and the birds are singing
hooray.....i think a little reading outdoors is in order
